What is Sparkle Satin Ribbon?
Sparkle satin ribbon is a single-sided satin with a decorative sparkle or shimmer effect. It is typically made from a blend of polyester with nylon (or sometimes acrylic or metallic elements) that creates the eye-catching glitter or metallic look.
Edges: Woven
Fray behaviour: Frays relatively easily when cut
Heat resistance: Lower melting point – avoid high heat or open flames
Feel: Soft to medium with a festive sparkle

What is Polyester Satin Ribbon (Print-Ready / Heat-Slit)?
This is a single-sided 100% polyester satin specifically prepared for printing. The edges are heat-slit (heat-cut), which seals them during manufacture.
Edges: Heat-slit (sealed)
Fray behaviour: Quite fray-resistant
Heat resistance: Higher – suitable for thermal transfer printers, lower-heat dye sublimation and hot-foil pressing
Feel: Slightly more “paper-like” or artificial due to the heat-slit process

Sparkle satin is ideal for decorative trims and accents where sparkle matters (seal ends carefully due to easier fraying and lower heat tolerance).
Heat-slit polyester satin works especially well for labels, structured trims and projects needing clean, fray-resistant edges.
Double-sided satin is the most versatile for sashes, straps and formalwear because it is soft and shiny on both sides.
