ORDERING AND SHIPPING POLICY (ONLINE STORE ONLY)

Ordering your product

Step1: You will be required to register as a user on our online store to make the transactions valid and secure.

Step 2: An order is placed by adding an item to your “cart”.

Step 3: Follow the process to checkout, which allows for the order to be finalized.

Step 4: To complete the order, the Customer is then required to complete the Credit Card payment or to make an instant Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) transaction. 

Orders will be received and recognized by Ribbon Place (Pty) Ltd through an email link. The receipt of an order is not immediate and can take up to 24 hours (during business days) from the time of which the order was placed to reflect.

We require a further 3 – 5  working days to allow for processing and packaging of online orders (but mostly it will be sooner).

We are not registered for VAT.

Your order will be dispatched using our Preferred Courier Partner (The Courier Guy), only with overnight option in Gauteng, and Economy 2 – 3 days in outlying and national areas of South Africa. 

We had to unfortunately stop collections for online orders from our showroom.  This was due to the fact that we are not a physical shop with a sales person on the premises at all times.  We work remotely on some days, and so have to keep the visits to our physical premises within our control. 
To avoid disappointment we work on an online order and courier shipping method only like you would do with Takealot or Amazon).

Kindly note that goods remain the property of Ribbon Place (Pty) Ltd until paid for in full.  Please make sure the product you are ordering are priced within the constraints of similar products, some errors or omissions may happen, (not very often) and we will treat the incident as a refund, if it was due to an error on our part.

Limitation of stock

In the event of insufficient stock relating to a Customer’s order, an email will be sent to notify you prior to processing the order. It can take 3 – 5 working days to get a standard stock order ready. If you are looking for your products urgently, please confirm the availability of the stock prior to placing your order.

Use of this online store

The use of the online store called Ribbon Place (Pty) Ltd (www.ribbonplace.co.za) is at your own risk, and you will be liable for any order made under your name. Should you place an order on this website we accept your agreement to comply with our Terms and Conditions.

We made a real effort to display our products as accurately as possible on the website. But due to technical differences between computers our colours may not display exactly the same colour on your computer screen. We cannot guarantee the colour and proportion which are displayed on the computer monitor at the time at which the order is placed, as a computer monitor’s colour and proportion may vary from monitor to monitor.

Colour

Be aware that colour of ribbons, labels, papers and boxes may vary slightly from batch to batch. This is to be expected and is of no cause for concern.

Joins in Rolls

All our ribbon products are wound down from giant spools of ribbon fabric.  It may happen that one of the rolls you order has a joined piece in it.  Unfortunately this cannot be avoided, as we joint the big rolls together and then spool them into smaller rolls.  Please be aware that this joined piece can be cut out, or run through your printer (it will not do any damage).

Shipping

All deliveries will be made by a Courier Company nominated by Ribbon Place (Pty) Ltd that typically ships with an overnight service for Johannesburg, and Pretoria clients, and a road freight (2 – 3  working days) service for any other National address. Ribbon Place (Pty) Ltd covers the goods for Transit Insurance through our nominated Courier up to R2000.00.  Shipping over that amount will be quoted for.
It may take between 3 – 5 working days to ship in stock and available products, you will be notified if your product ordered is “out of stock”, and the lead time for your replacement order. If you are unsure, please feel free to inquire about your purchase at shop@ribbonplace.co.za
