More Precious Than Gold
Gold Childhood Cancer Ribbons
September is the month. Gold is the colour. These are the ribbons
Why gold
Why a pack of 100
- heat-cut, so the edges don’t fray
- folded into the classic awareness shape
- pinned and ready to wear
Who will wear them?
For schools
Give every learner and teacher a gold ribbon on the same morning. That is all a Gold Out day needs to look like a Gold Out day.Put a pack at the office. Hand them out at assembly. Pin one on the principal, the coaches, the grade captains. When the photos go out, the gold should be obvious.
For workplaces and clinics
Leave a bowl of gold ribbons at reception. Ask staff to wear one for the week. Patients and visitors will ask. That question is the whole point.A clinic that treats children already knows this month. A gold ribbon on every lanyard says the rest of the building knows it too.
For walks, matches and community events
Registration desk. Pack of 100. Everyone who walks through gets one. You do not need a speech first. Pin the ribbon on, then tell them: gold is for childhood cancer. Children are more precious than gold.
Every gold ribbon is small. A hundred of them together are not.
